Animalistic sculptures
Students will create a unique sculpture of an animal using a variety of construction methods: COIL, SLAB, PINCH, MOLDS
- Must be hollow
- Must have photo sources for observational sculpting ( on idea page: multiple photo sources and a plan of attack with sketches and notes)
- Study the animal you are creating from a variety of views and perspectives ( remember this is a "sculpture in the round" and viewed from all sides)
- The sculpture can be realistic or abstracted but cannot be a cartoon or stereotype image reproduced.
- Size requirement is a minimum of 10 by 5 either in length or height or a series of smaller pieces that relate.
